About the work

This work is Morton Garchik’s vision of the fall of the walls of Jericho.  The Book of Joshua tells the story of the Battle of Jericho, the first battle in the Israelite’s conquest of Canaan—the promised land. The Israelites marched around the city walls once a day for six days and seven times on the seventh day and then blew their trumpets, at which point God caused the walls to come tumbling down, the story of Jericho is a lesson of the power of God.
