This color engraving was one of four commissioned to illustration Rachel Field’s famous 1931 book “Calico Bush”, a classic story of a French orphan in 18th Century America who indentured herself to a Maine family in exchange for food and shelter. This image was the frontispiece for the book. Custom matted and framed behind 99% UV-blocking Plexiglass using strictly conservation-grade materials.
