An etching and engraving of Frank Lloyd Wright’s monumental Beth Sholom Synagogue, which the American Institute of Architects and the National Trust for Historic Preservation designated as one of the seventeen Wright buildings most worthy of preservation. Commissioned in 1953 and completed in 1959 for the Beth Sholom congregation in Elkins Park, Pennsylvania, it is a masterpiece and a superb example of Wright’s lifelong engagement with the diagonal. The dark lines and proportions project the power of the architecture.
