About the work
This work marries together traditional fine art printing with collage, as Rauschenberg occasionally did. The collaging blurs the line between editioned prints and unique works; it is a sort of hybrid.
Mounted on and matted with hand-wrapped silk matting and framed in a Plexiglas box. The print is 30½ inches by 23 inches. Including the box frame, it is 38 inches by 30 inches.
An example of this work is held in MOMA’s permanent collection.
Please note that this is the first impression in the edition of 100.
