About the work

Washingtonian Ruth Becker is most famous for her exquisite papercut ketubot. This work is a rare departure from her; a finely-made papercut work with a prayer for a home. Pirkei Avot, a tractate from the Talmud (collected teachings of the ancient rabbis), focuses on the way that the great sages lived their lives and the moral lessons that they can teach us.
