About the work

This blue-green work shows a variation on Gene Davis’ famous vertical lines. It is nearly identical in composition to Davis’ “Banjo” and “Ferris Wheel”, but with a calmer and cooler palette.

This work came from James O. Dumont and Raye Landis’ venerable gallery in New Brunswick, New Jersey. It is accompanied by the Dumont-Landis Fine Art gallery label.

An example of this work is in the collection of the Smithsonian Institution (Obj. No. 2002.26.17).
