About the work

In the mid-1950s Jack Perlmutter was reaching the pinnacle of his career, with his urban landscapes and busy—even frantic—urban depictions being shown in top galleries in New York and elsewhere. This work is an excellent example of a rare early work which is a great example of the sort of work that made Perlmutter famous.
