About the work
This work is one of sixteen proofs prepared for the fifth and final State, preceding the edition of 85. It is Number 636 in Roger Passeron’s catalogue raisonné of the work of Mario Avati. It was completed in September 1984 and printed in two passes. The color was printed first, followed by the black using a second (and smaller) copper plate. A beautiful work made more special by the use of full color and because4 it is an Artist’s Proof. Custom framed using strictly conservation-grade materials behind 99% UV-blocking art glass.
