Naftali Rakuzin

Naftali Rakuzin is a Moscow-born artist and the son of a prominent book illustrator. He immigrated to Israel in 1974 and in 1982 moved to Paris, where he now works.

Early influence by Rakuzin’s father and his time in Russia, Israel, and Paris inculcated in him a love of books, as evidenced by his delicate and moody works.

Rakuzin’s work can be found in major museums around the world, including the Bibliothèque Royale Albert I in Brussels, the New York Public Library, the Bibliothèque Nationale in Paris, the Israel Museum in Jerusalem, the Museum of Modern Art, and many others.

Rakuzin remains active and continues to show his work.
